Her sails are now a light tan coloured Dacron (often confused
with more modern and exotic materials) designed to look like
the old cotton sails she once wore. The restoration has been a great success. She has added handsomely to her honours, taking line and handicap honours during many recent classic yacht races leading up to her Logan Cup victory in the 1998-1999 season. She has always secured a place in the Annual Classic Yacht Association series since its formation in 1996. When not racing her equally elderly sisters in classic races, Little Jim will be seen cruising the Hauraki Gulf under her distinctive light tan sails. |
