'The Early Days '

From 1970 to 1978 Peter Brookes not only competitively sailed but regularly self maintained his own gaff-rigged Winklebrigs.

1978 saw his first project, the partial restoration of an 18ft 'Thames Estuary One Design' named 'TEOD'. This was followed in 1980 by the major restoration of the 16ft Winklebrig 'Wanderer' which he sailed competitively with great success until 1984, and the start of his business.
